Kalki 2898 AD (2024)
Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming
Indian epic drama film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Produced by C.
Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, it was originally made in Telugu with some
reshoots in Hindi. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the film is set in an unending
world, in the year 2898 AD. This is the first episode of Kalki Cinematic
Universe. The film stars Prabhas as hero along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal
Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
First announced in February
2020, production of Kalki was delayed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Filming finally began in July 2021 on a pre-production site at Ramoji Film
City, Hyderabad, and continued on several legs over the next three years before
wrapping up in March 2024. Made on a budget of ₹ 600 crore (US$ 72 million),
Kalki is the most expensive Indian film. Its music is scored by Santhosh
Narayanan, with cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, design by Nitin Zihani
Choudhary and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Where to see Kalki 2898 AD (2024)?
Originally slated for a
2022 release, then scheduled for a January 2024 release, production was pushed
back to May 9, 2024 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was again postponed from 9
May 2024 to 27 June 2024 due to the 2024 Indian General Election.
It is going to be
released in Telugu and Hindi with Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English
dubbing.
