AbouVaathi 2023

Best movies to watch with kids. We live outside India so our children don't understand what public schools are like in India and how expensive they are these days and also the importance of education. Good movie for kids of current generation. Interesting, emotional and informative. After many days I have seen a good movie (non-violent and non-sexual).

Movies Review

It was in the 1990s. Thanks to the liberalization of the public and private sectors, education has become a growing business. There is a statue of Saraswathi in the municipal school premises, but note the name of the local theatre: Lakshmi. The non-attending school and the theater with the home show - education and money, Saraswathi and Lakshmi - come together in Venky Atluri's excellent medium Vaathi (or Sir in Telugu), in which Dhanush stars as Bala, a practical teacher who believed that education should. free for those who can't afford it. The children who go back to the government school after Bala was appointed as a teacher, are the children of artisans, tailors and others. What if they could change their destiny? What if their story would be similar to that of APJ Abdul Kalam, the son of a sailor who became a scientist? (By this time, he had not yet become president.) The children who go back to the government school after Bala was appointed as a teacher, are the children of artisans, tailors and others. This material could have resulted in a film with an irresistible "precious" message, but Venky Atluri pulled off a small miracle. (The movie could have been a big surprise, but more on that later.) The director is also a writer, and he shows great masala-film writing instincts. One of the most interesting movies is the way he combines movies with education. At one point, the hero was celebrated with pieces of paper thrown on the screen because what he was doing was a real hero - not because he was the "hero" of the film. Through his judgments and actions, Bala achieved this emptiness. There is a very interesting situation that involves a hand pump. It is a time that is not in a fairy tale, where a student will do anything for his teacher. The director is also a writer, and he shows great masala-film writing instincts. It is a time that is not in a fairy tale, where a student will do anything for his teacher. (Remember, for example, the story of Karna is very painful without moving because the guru Parasurama is resting on his lap. This is in this area.)

Where there is a hero, there is a hero, there is a villain. But both characters are (thankfully) useless. The love affair with Samyuktha Menon is mercifully preserved. And Samuthirakani plays the bad guy without much concern. The latter was unsuccessful. It is an inspirational writing that emphasizes how being practical is sometimes more important than being thoughtful. Even in the dialogue, there are a few touches that stand out, as Bala speaks in three sentences. (Example: "Alright sir. Thank you sir.Take care sir.) GV Prakash has given a wonderful development, which suits the story space perfectly. But Dhanush, is not exactly a challenging part, but he sells his character with ease. We believe in this benefactor without feeling angry with him, and this is no small task. there are a few touches that stand out, as Bala speaks in three sentences. (Example: "Alright sir. So why isn't this movie better? Why just… “small miracles”? Because the director does not trust his material as much as he should. Vaathi/Sir takes some time to wake up. A design device is not necessary because the subject with the video will work better if it appears out of the blue, instead of being shown in the background. The humor is not good. And there is no "stop" in the masala touch, which always works best when they are built up. Instead of spending a lot of time on, say, showing the banished Bala searching for a way to return to the village and be with his students (which would also make Bharathiyar's eventual departure more satisfying), we waste time. A lot of "mass" action stretches, full slo-mo and all. Bala's first fight sequence is a waste of five minutes which could have gone towards building the masala world of the film well. Most of this world building, now, seems to be happening at 2x speed. But all in all, I'm just glad that this isn't a generic, preachy movie. It is not perfect, but it retains its meter, its sound, its sense. And this is… a minor miracle.
